Torres de Hércules – beautiful architecture in Spain

Lately in Spain Torres de Hercules was completed. This characteristic landmark is based on two cylindrical towers covered with original facade. This beautiful building is work of famous Spanish architect Rafael de la Hoz and surely will become one of the most appreciated work done in last years. This building is placed close to Gibraltar, Mount Musa and the Alcornocales Natural Park.

Miapolis – Miami proposal of the highest supertall

975 meters (3200 feet), 160 floor high building on the Watson Island in Miami? That is truth. The proposal is given but this is of course just in very early stage of development. I think it is worth to mention such interesting project because it is one of those things that makes knees trembling. The idea is to create a building that will make Burj Dubai (which new name is Burj Khalifa) look really small. the probability of this building being realized is of course not that big because potential cost of the whole investment would be enormous. Even the architects call it “the project of dreams”, but dreams are what made the world going straight forward. The whole complex is supposed to contain hotel, marina, observatory, condominiums, office space, restaurants, shopping mall, amusement park, trade center and rotating sky-lounge.

Here are some renders of this proposed skyscraper:

Cuatro Torres Business Area

I really wanted to find some high constructions in Europe, but it is not so easy as it seems. Europe is traditionally more “low”, except for Russia where the highest skyscrapers on the continent are projected and constructed. There are many skyscrapers in Frankfurt, but I decided to show you some examples of recent work in Madrid.
